Ted Starr went to college at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee. He also studied at the University of Leeds in England. He went to law school at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts.
He is a member of the Florida Bar, the St. Petersburg Bar Association and the Clearwater Bar Association.
He practices primarily in Pinellas County but is also admitted to the Federal Court where he attends to Bankruptcy Matters in the Middle District, Tampa, Florida.
Jennifer L. Todd is a Tampa native who went to college at the University of South Florida where she obtained a degree in Criminal Justice. She went to law school at Nova University, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She is a member of the Florida Bar, the St. Petersburg Bar Association and is admitted to the Federal Court in the Middle District, Tampa, Florida. She has experience handling family law matters including divorce, child custody and support issues, adoptions and name changes. She is also experienced in the defense of criminal charges.
Maria Harms is our Office Manager and Personal Injury Paralegal. During her employment at Starr Law Offices, P.A., which began in June, 2001, she has attained designations as both a Certified Paralegal and as a Florida Registered Paralegal. She has over 22 years experience in the legal field, primarily in Personal Injury. She is a member of the National Association of Legal Assistants.
Lauren Tellier, our transactional practice paralegal was hired in March, 2004. She is a native Floridian who attended St. Petersburg College and received her paralegal diploma in 2000. She has nine years experience as a paralegal, working in several areas of law including Bankruptcy, Real Estate, Estate Planning, Probate, Guardianship and Foreclosure.
Tiffany Trueblood is a legal assistant, working primarily with Ms. Todd in the family and criminal law practice areas. Tiffany graduated from St. Petersburg College in December, 2009, obtaining her Associate of Science Degree in Paralegal Studies. She plans to attain her Certified Paralegal and Florida Registered Paralegal designations and is scheduled to sit for her certification exam in June, 2010. She has been employed with Starr Law Offices, P.A. since June, 2007.
Cindy Perez is employed as a legal secretary in the Personal Injury Department and has been with our firm since August, 2009. As Ms. Perez speaks fluent Spanish, she also assists in translation for all of our Spanish speaking clients.
Ellen Thai, our newest employee, will be acting as our Immigration Case Manager beginning in February, 2010. Ms. Thai is fluent in Vietnamese, allowing her to assist in translation for clients in our other practice areas as well.
